U Chicago President Sends Email Reminding Students Of Free Speech

This morning, the University of Chicago, practically the only Chicago school that understands the First Amendment, sent an email out to all faculty, staff, and students in regards to the enforcement of their free speech policy. The full statement may be found below, courtesy of An Elephant In the Woods:

We praise University President Robert Zimmer for taking the time to enforce and explain the many benefits of allowing freedom of expression to the members of The University of Chicago. Zimmer calls for, “a year of common effort by the University community to reaffirm our commitment to rigorous discourse and free expression.” Carpe that Freedom folks.
